BMW R1150GS Scrambler by Iron Macchina Customs

BMW GS1150 Scrambler

The BMW R1150GS was one of the greatest adventure bikes of all time, an 1130cc flat twin globe-trotter that broke the record for fastest world circumnavigation by motorcycle. The bike offered 85 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque, and many feel would opt for the tough old Bavarian boxer over its higher-tech successors.

Enter Paul Anthony Symon Cantos of Iron Macchina Customs, based in the Philippines. His client, Gren Guadamor, is a lifelong rider who wanted to update his 2001 BMW GS1150, transforming the machine into something more detailed and modern — a platform he could use for everyday urban commuting and the odd out-of-town, off-the-beaten-path adventure.

The result is the unique BMW GS scrambler you see here. Below, we get the full story on this beautiful beast!

• What custom work was done to the bike?

A lot of work has been done to this bike. Particularly the chassis. We fabricated it from scratch and reinforced it with high tensile materials to ensure the quality and durability of the bike will be maximized. We also fabricated a dual custom vertical headlight cowl accommodating two (2) super bright LED wrangler lights giving this beast a modern and meaner look. Installed Iron Macchina Low rise custom handle bars, classic grips, integrated tail lights, custom seat, custom paint job and a full carbon fiber exhaust tip.

Well, we are pretty proud of how our knowledge in fabrication and designing keeps progressing. Quality is our number one priority. Making sure everything is durable, functional and uncompromised. Uniqueness of deign is mainly considered also. Making sure that each of our concepts will only be applied to 1 bike. (1 design per bike). Regardless of model and displacements.
