France: New Biker Visibility Law Effective Next Year

hi-vis-motorcycle-vestStarting January 2016 in France, on-road bikers can be fined for not having a high visibility jacket on their person. Foreigners on tour are of no exception, and fines can be as high as 135 €. Smaller reflective gear will no longer be acceptable, however the bikers are not required to wear their visibility vest, merely have it with them and visible in some form or other.
