Torque Monster: Droog Moto’s E-Fighter V2

E-Fighter V2

“Stump-pulling torque…more than any fuel-burning production literbike.”

Electric motorcycles have been evolving at a rapid rate in recent years, surprising riders accustomed only to traditional internal combustion machines with their performance. Zero Motorcycles is at the vanguard of street-legal electric motorcycles sales and development, and their DS platform is something of a torque beast, powered by a Type Z-Force® air-cooled, radial flux, interior permanent magnet, brushless motor:

“The Zero DS delivers silent stump-pulling torque, churning up to an outrageous 78 ft-lb—more than any fuel-burning production literbike. Twist the throttle. With this stealth force hurling you forward, you’ll easily leave gas bikes behind.”

E-Fighter V2

That performance is coupled with a fairly light 317-lb curb weight, 82-mile city range, and 1-hour charge time. The bike has a top speed of 98 mph, a clutchless direct drive, ABS brakes, and fully adjustable suspension.

E-Fighter

Enter our friends at Droog Moto, a husband/wife team who’ve quickly developed a signature post-apocalyptic style that would make Mad Max proud. Last year, we featured their DM-016 E-Fighter, and now they’re back with the E-Fighter V2, featuring an all-new body style that resembles an armored suit. Below, we get the details on this menacing, blacked-out torque monster.

DM-017 E-Fighter V2: In the Builder’s Words…

E-Fighter

Coming out with a new series is always exciting, especially when it is on a platform that is still new to the motorcycle community. The V2 E-Fighter is built around a Zero DS platform. Taking Zero’s high performance electrics and pairing it up with our menacing build style was something that had to happen again. Our DM-016 E-Fighter was extremely popular and our clients were blown away by the output from an electric machine.

The V2 features an all new sleek and angular body style. Almost like an armored suit, the new faux tank covers a section of frame to match up with the burly front tracker plate.

The speedometer was integrated into the tank bringing some life to the design. Fitted tightly against the tank is a new seat setup that is built up to each client’s particular specs.

All the lighting is high output LED making sure you are well lit for any mission. New wheels were put in place and wrapped in Bridgestone AX41 tires and our distinct solid inserts.

Electric machines are definitely going to take over. When exactly? Who knows, but we know how to build a burly E-machine ready for when things go down.

In Action…
