Honda recently confirmed their Africa Twin motorcycle model will return to the US in 2016. The model was popular in the 1980s and 1990s but has not been in production for about a decade.
The company indicated it wants to pursue “True Adventure” as a design concept in a trade show last year; the return of the Africa Twin appears to be part of this new direction. Honda says it wants to retain the Africa Twin’s essential character while modifying it to reflect the progress the company has made since it was last being produced.
Several photographs of the new motorcycle were released by the company but other than these we have little information about the specs of the new bike, and speculation continues among Honda fans.
