KICKBACK 2024 at Sammy Miller Moto Museum…
KICKBACK is the longest-running indoor custom motorcycle event in the UK. In April of 2024, more than 6000 motorbike lovers attended the Great Malvern show, which showcased 250+ classic and custom bikes, along with 2000 more motorcycles in the park.
The series of shows, organized by Director Lorne Cheetham, has always championed not just the United Kingdom’s best professional builders, but shed-builders and semi-pro customizers as well.
“KICKBACK is the definitive showcase for rare classics and customised gems built in sheds, garages and workshops by young engineers as well as experienced professionals. It is a cool and subversive event that champions the offbeat and loves bringing like-minded people together.”
Earlier this month the 29th edition of KICKBACK took place at the Sammy Miller Moto Museum, which houses 500+ fully restored motorcycles from various eras and styles…and all but five of them in perfectly working order! Paul Milbourn’s R1 landspeed bike was rolled out, and Allen Millyard even turned up on his famous 5000cc Flying Millyard V-twin!
There were showcases both inside and outside the museum.
Galleries and Exhibits Inside the Museum:
The Off-Road Gallery: Featuring a collection of off-road bikes.
The Norton Hall: Dedicated to the iconic Norton brand.
The Racing Gallery: Showcasing legendary racing motorcycles.
The Vincent Hall: Celebrating the Vincent motorcycle heritage.
The Trophy Room: Displaying a collection of trophies and memorabilia.
The Japanese Hall: Highlighting classic and rare Japanese motorcycles.
The European Hall: Featuring bikes from various European manufacturers.
Upper Gallery: An additional area with more motorcycles and exhibits.
Outdoor Showcases:
Outside the museum, over 150 custom motorcycles were on display in the main courtyard and parade areas.
We were fortunate to have our man Roberto Garagarza (@roga______) in attendance to cover the show, and he came back with 500+ photographs! Below you’ll find a whole bunch of our favorites, and a Part II follow-up piece with even more coverage will follow next week. Make sure to follow KICKBACK on Facebook and/or Instagram (@kickback.custom.bike.show) to keep abreast of future events!
Most importantly, tell us what your favorite bike is from the show!

Great coverage of the event. I was obviously very pleased to see my BSA , now referred to as “chequered past”, featured, thank you. The bike has been really well received at the few shoes I’ve taken it to.
We were honored to feature it, Richard, and it was a highlight of the show!
