Today we’re excited to present a very special build: the “CB605” by GT-Moto, which was the first build to come out of this very special shop in Plano, Texas.
GT-Moto: The Story
GT-Moto is a father/daughter operation. Sofi Tsingos grew up working alongside her father, George, in his aircraft maintenance shop, and in 2010 they started GT-Moto together, hand-building custom motorcycles. Only in her 20s, Sofi is a certified BMW, Ducati, and Triumph technician. Of her shop skills, she says:
So far I have learned: welding (mig, tig, stick, oxy weld), metal shaping, using the english wheel, planishing hammer, hammer and sand bag, got pretty good with a grinder and cut off wheel, auto body repair, body work, fiberglass, painting, polishing, powder coating, managing shops, dealing with customers and sales. This might seem like a lot, but each skill requires time, and right now that is my main focus!
GT-Moto donates a portion of all sales to organizations dedicated to finding cures for cancer and supporting survivors and their families. They often raffle off their custom builds and donate the proceeds to cancer research.
The CB605 Build
Here’s what Sofi had to say about this build:
This bike has been in a list of cool things that I super excited about and never thought would happen, Like: Bad Kids Go 2 Hell 2 (movie), Tank Moto Magazine, Leatherman commercial, Return of the Cafe Racers, the Bike Shed.
This was my first build so it means the world to me. I just had to sell it as of this past week because I want to invest in GT-Moto. It will help get me some of the right tools and help pay student loans. I learned a lot when building this bike with my Dad back in 2010. I have learned even more in these last 5 years so I gave it a face lift and put everything I learned into it.

We know it was tough for Sofi to let this bike go, but we’re confident that she will continue to grow GT-Moto into a global success. Not only do she and her father produce some of the most striking builds on the planet, but Sofi has an incredible attitude. For all of you out there who own your own shop or small business, you will understand the power of her motto:
“Do a lot, Say a little”
I am not going to lie, sometimes I cry. Life is not easy, it kicks you while you are down. The hardest part is getting back up and using those hard moments to learn from. I realized that the only thing I can control is myself and the way I have to handle the good and bad things.
