On the weekend of March 16-18, we were fortunate enough to attend second-annual The Forged Invitational at the Jeykll Island Convention Center, located on the lawn overlooking the ocean. The show takes place during Caffeine and Octane At The Beach (candojekyll.com). Cameras were rolling, taping segments and interviews for the C&O TV show, which airs on NBC Sports.

None other than the “Metal Magician” himself — our friend Bryan Fuller of Fuller Moto — is the man behind the Forged Invitational. The show is highly curated, with Bryan hand-picking a limited collection of hand-built, forged metal machines to be showcased.

Jekyll Island is located in our own backyard — yours truly actually went to prom at the old version of this convention center many moons ago — so we were eager to help in any way we could. Last year, BikeBound was fortunate enough to receive the “Marketing Machine” award for our help in promoting the show, while the great people at JET Tools and Pilot Transport have remained strong sponsors of the event.

This year, Bryan hand-selected a limited collection of 20 motorcycles and 20 cars for the show. Only customs, race cars and prototypes were considered — no OEM factory-original cars or bikes. The machines were prominently featured on the grass overlooking the ocean just outside The Jekyll Island Convention Center.
