Highlights from the 2025 Handbuilt Motorcycle Show…
Last weekend marked the 2025 edition of one of the very best motorcycle shows on the planet, the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show in Austin, Texas. Founded by Alan Stulberg and the team at Revival Cycles, the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show showcases the work of builders and craftspeople from all over country and beyond who’ve focused their knowledge, skill, and ingenuity into creating one-of-a-kind two-wheeled machines.
“As our collective existence slips further into digital abstraction, we at the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show believe something has been lost and it is time to revive the culture of physical craftsmanship. Although in today’s modern mass-produced world few young people are taught how to do physical work or are encouraged to embrace a trade, there remains a universal attraction to the beauty that can only be formed by human hands.” -Handbuilt Show
The hope is that sharing these hand-built machines will inspire people to embark on bike-building journeys of their own, fueling a revolution in the art of working with one’s hands.
The three-day event showcased nearly 150 custom and/or interesting bikes, as well as some very neat cars, hot rods, art, and the work of welders, leather makers, engine gurus, and metal-shapers — all in a 100,000 square-foot show space at the Austin-American Statesman building on South Congress Avenue. Besides the bikes and cars themselves, the show featured the Ives Brother’s Wall Of Death, Red Bull stunt rider Aaron Colton, artist Makoto Endo live-painting motorcycles with “chopsticks,” a vintage black-light poster exhibition, a kid’s obstacle course, and more.
Of course, our favorite part is seeing what custom, rare, and otherwise interesting bikes turn up at the show. Many builders work on a bike right up until the night before they leave for the show, meaning many of these bikes make their public debut on the first day of the show.
“The Handbuilt show represents the cutting edge of custom motorcycle building, where attendees get a peek at the next cool thing. It’s actually a challenge to pinpoint that new trend. There’s so much to be inspired by that it can be a bit overwhelming.” – Roland Sands.
We’ve got our photos coming from our man on the ground at the show, Kody Melton. In the interim, however, we thought we’d share some of our favorite cafe racers, road racers, sport bikes, superbikes, and more from the official Builders’ Gallery, courtesy of show organizer Revival Cycles. Stay tuned for more in-depth shots of many of these builds.

Thanks for including my Yamaha in this guys!!! It was a great show! So many amazing builds and people.
Which one is yours?
Ronnie’s is the top left in the first photo. Full feature coming soon!
The shiny Yamaha two-stroke is a beauty!
Right? Full feature coming soon!
Thanks so much for sharing my cb360! Much appreciated
The blue Yamaha with the big v-twin. 12th pic down. I MUST know more/everything about it.
