A large grant from the California Energy Commission to Zero Motorcycles will allow the continued research and development of electric motorcycles. Zero has matched the grant awarded resulting in 2 million in funds. This step furthers clean-tech manufacturing which reduces the use of petroleum, improves the air quality, and improves energy efficiency as well as creating more skilled jobs in California.
The California Energy Commission supports cutting-edge research and development of renewable energy. Transitioning from older, highly polluting vehicles to zero emission vehicles with no tailpipe pollution helps the state meet goals for clean air, petroleum reduction, and climate changes
