Going pro… It’s the dream of custom bike builders the world over. For Portugal’s Unik Edition Custom Motorcycles, the time has come. Founders Luís Costa and Tiago Gonçalves embarked on their first build back in 2016. When we featured their BMW R45 “Vulpini” in early 2017, we foresaw their build queue growing — only a matter of time before they would be building “Unik” custom bikes full-time.
Fast forward to 2018, and the shop has gone pro, opening the doors of a new garage, dealership, and lifestyle store. “Leonor,” the Triumph T100 Bonneville you see here, is their second project as pro-builders. Their first pro build — “Pandora” — was as bold as they come, with striking color scheme and a wooden tail. In contrast, “Leonor” is a dark and subtle European bobber, which demonstrates the workshop’s range and penchant for detail.
Below, we get the full story on this shorter, lower, meaner Bonneville.
