130 Fox: T120 Bonneville from Tamarit Motorcycles…
In late 2015, Triumph introduced their new liquid-cooled lineup, including the 1200cc T120 Bonneville. While some purists may scoff at the radiator, the big Bonnie has been continually lauded as a hard-to-beat blend of retro style and modern convenience.
“Modern-day touches make it functional and reassuring, and it’s easier to live with than any air-cooled forebear. It’s perhaps the most rounded Bonnie yet.” –MCN
In T120 trim, the 1200cc 270° SOHC HT (High Torque) parallel-twin puts out a solid 79 hp and 77 lb-ft of torque, and the Kayaba suspension gives the bike solid handling for a modern classic machine.
The Bonneville has always been a fine canvas for customization, and one of the best in the business when it comes to modern Triumph machines is Tamarit Motorcycles of Spain. At last count, the Spanish workshop is nearing 150 custom builds, making them “the largest builder of Triumph engines in the world.”
The bike you see here is #130, a T120 Bonneville created with comfortable urban riding in mind:
“This project aimed to create a motorcycle for daily use, comfortable and suitable for the city. To achieve this, we opted for a highly agile Bonneville T120 engine, to which a number of components close to the Brat Style were added. The result is obvious: 130 Fox is ready to enjoy city rides.”
Below, the Tamarit team goes over the many highlights and details of the build.
In the Builder’s Words…
The 130 Fox project features a lightweight aesthetic with chrome and graphite finishes. The play of colors with a lighter tone, both on the tank and the side covers, creates that depth effect on both.
Split two-seater seat: A bike like this can’t be enjoyed alone, that’s why a split black two-seater seat has been installed. A seat, tailor-made for the occasion, that allows for a passenger and perfectly matches the urban aesthetics of the bike.
Gyroscopic LED headlight: The adaptive gyroscopic LED headlight illuminates the road with great amplitude and will not abandon you even in curves, as it is a headlight that adapts its lights to accompany the movement of the handlebars, which provides greater safety. The most avant-garde lighting system on the market.
Exhaust: This bike couldn’t do without a set of Zard brand exhausts that have been installed underneath. A new sound and performance to enhance the bike’s capabilities to the fullest.
XXL Engine Guard: The project includes an XXL sump guard, ensuring greater protection by covering the entire frontal area of the bike’s frame, including the radiator.
High technology: We have included one of our essentials, the Motogadget speedometer, for a cleaner and more minimalist finish. Incorporating other Motogadget components, such as the ECU and the front and rear turn signals is also worth noting. Thanks to its functions and the app, the motorcycle can be fully monitored through your smartphone.
The license plate has been placed using a side bracket, giving it a floating effect.
A classic. The Muralla side covers have been customized with the colors of the project’s design.
On this bike, you can also see the Free Spirit filters that improve performance by increasing air supply to the engine and reducing temperature.
At the rear of the bike, you can see the Hagon Nitro shock absorber, just behind it is our chain guard.
If we approach the Fox handlebar, we can also see the new turn signals and Highsider mirrors.
At Fox’s feet, we find 16-inch rims with new tires and brake discs.
At the front of the bike, you will also find our Pantera springs and newly machined CNC triple tree that have been adapted for the project.
The brake light has been inserted into the frame, providing a cleaner final finish.

Interesting build! Looks like those air intake tubes/ports w/filters would cause one to wing out your legs a bit more. ???
I think the builder was trying for a ram air effect?
