Garage Dreams: Honda GB350 Customs!

Each year, Honda Spain (Honda Motocicletas España) hosts the Garage Dreams Contest in the lead up to the annual Wheels & Waves Festival in Biarritz, France. A different model is chosen time, and dealerships and workshops from all over Spain, Portugal, and beyond try their hand at creating a custom machine from the given base.

This year, the donor bike was the Honda GB350S, the company’s new 350cc retro single thumper.

Made in Japan, the GB is a simple, feel good, air-cooled single that makes an A2 licence-friendly 21bhp. That doesn’t sound like much, but that’s part of the appeal. Its genteel power delivery makes it piece of cake to manage but there’s still enough shove to get a lick-on down a backroad. With its heavy crank and long stroke, there’s plenty of grunt and it’ll hit over 80mph on the clock…and as we know, riding a slow bike fast is often more rewarding than having more power than you know what to do with.” –MCN

Today, we’re excited to bring you a few of our favorite contestant bikes shot by photographer Diego Bermúdez, listed with builder / dealership and nickname.

When I was young, the MBX was young. It’s like a memory covered in dust. That design will never get old.

  2. The gb350s loved the look great concept. Looks to be a fun bike.

  3. Otobi. Fan of full fairings so one of my favs.

  4. Tubais Motos has the best proportions to me. I sure hope American Honda decides to bring this bike to the US!
