ArtRide 2026: Café Racers & Superbikes

We’re back with another segment from ArtRide 2026, the custom bike and art show at Wheels & Waves in Biarritz, France. It took place June 11-13 at Skatepark Biarritz, just a stone’s throw from the central Wheels & Waves “Village,” and featured a wide assortment of custom motorcycles exhibited alongside art from a variety of disciplines.

“A place of expression. A focus is made on artists from around the world dedicated to motorcycle, photography, street art, custom, and painting, making the exhibition a unique place of communion widely publicized.”

Of course, the motorcycles themselves are the focal point, and one of the best moto photographers in the business, Craig Stuart (@scrambler_ams), was on the ground to capture the machines in all their splendor. For our second segment, we have cafe racers and superbikes of all stripes, with information about each bike taken directly from the exhibition placards (where available). Make sure to tell us your favorites from this segment in the comments!

MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Ago

The Superveloce 1000 Ago is a limited-edition superbike honoring 15-time world champion Giacomo Agostini. It features an ignition key containing a piece of an original Agostini trophy, an 18k gold steering-head number plaque, and a hand-signed autograph from Ago himself.

MV Agusta Tamburini F43 Tributo

The Tamburini F43 Tributo is an ultra-limited carbon-fiber body kit (just 25 units, 5 in each livery) and custom motorcycle project created by Andrea Tamburini to honor his father, legendary designer Massimo Tamburini, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic MV Agusta F4.

Richard Mille x Brough Superior RMB01

Featured here on BikeBound.com!

TO DELIVER EXCELLENCE ON TRACK
• A racing motorbike designed to the highest standards of fine watchmaking
• A limited edition of 150 motorcycles

Richard Mille and Brough Superior, manufacturer of exceptional motorbikes, have combined their talents to create the RMB01, a unique track-focused bike. Much more than a motorbike, this true work of kinetic art is the fruit of a creative dialogue between two iconic brands that share a quest for perfection and innovation through their common vision of excellence.

Inspiration drawn from the origins of motor racing
Inspired by Boardtrackers, the first racing motorbikes to appear in the United States in the 1910s, the RMB01 pays tribute to the raw and radical spirit of these machines. A completely uncluttered engine, a slimline fuel tank finished off by a minimalist seat, a typical ‘dropper’ racing post. These were the directions Richard Mille provided to steer Brough Superior in the design of this bike. Taut and muscular elliptical lines lend the machine a dynamic, feline silhouette, its lightness enhanced and accentuated by extensive skeletonisation and a design that suspends it from a backbone.

Yamaha MT-01: OSE Kustom Motorworks

A bold creation on an unlikely base, an MT-01 reimagined as a late-80s racer, the kind of bike that doesn’t naturally lend itself to custom building. Starting from two 80s components (a Ducati 888 fairing and a 900 BO tail unit), the build began with a complete redesign of the rear end: tubular frame, bespoke seat, rear diffuser with integrated brake light and exposed battery.

From there: Ducati 888 spider and fairing adaptation, offset PIAA headlight cluster, solid wheels, aluminium front mudguard, custom stainless steel exhaust headers and VANCE & HINES silencer. All finished in a stunning black, white and yellow livery by Noré Décoration.

Accessories: LSL lip-on handlebars, custom machined top T-piece engraved with 314, PIAA headlight, ‘HarleyGrove’ leather seat, MOTOGADGET instrumentation, DUNLOP slick tyres.

Ducati Monster S4R: Belva Bruno x BG Garage

From the Builder: Building this café racer — originally a Monster S4R — gave me the opportunity to put an “anything is possible” philosophy into practice. The goal was to keep it understated and tasteful, yet beneath that restrained exterior beats a wild heart: the Desmoquattro engine, with its rear cylinder head flipped just like on the Pantah models, delivers a fierce 130 horsepower. The exhaust line and Conti cartridge shocks do their part in nailing that authentic 70’s style. The front “drum” shell conceals a modern disc braking system. A bike you can admire — and more importantly, fire up and enjoy, letting the 860 GTS frame do what it does best. PS: Happy Birthday Ducati 😉

“Projekt Schatten” Royal Enfield GT650: Wannabe Choppers

Enrico de Haas, founder of Wannabe-Choppers, unveils his latest creation: Projekt Schatten (Project Shadow), a café racer that blurs the line between craftsmanship and fine art. Fully street-legal and rideable, the build combines raw cast aluminum and brass aesthetics with premium components: modified fork, “WannaBrake” master cylinder, shortened frame, clean electronics (elektronikbox.de), Motogadget/Kellermann lighting, and a bespoke Spirit Leather seat.

Deeply inspired by Japanese aesthetics — where beauty lies in imperfection — de Haas embraces and celebrates the “laws” of the casting process. “I tried not to hide the mistakes, but to highlight them,” he says. A philosophy that stands in stark contrast to the sterile, CNC-machined finishes of the modern era.

Motobi Zanzani Corsa Replica 175: Collection Pierre Forté

1960s racer known for its famous “uovo delle meraviglie” engine.
