Suzuki SV650 Brat Tracker by Droog Moto

Suzuki SV650 Tracker

Moto 11 from Droog Moto has emerged from the den, and she’s one burly beast. This time, Max and Erica Droog chose a late-model Suzuki SV650 with the trellis-style frame.  The SV650 is one of those killer all-rounders, with a punchy V-twin motor, friendly handling, and unkillable durability. However, you don’t see too many SV650 customs…until now.

The Droog Moto duo wanted to create a “one of a kind urban assault machine.” They certainly have, building a bike that’s “ready to take you anywhere, even when the end of the world is about to hit.” Best of all, it’s for sale! Contact Droog Moto for more details!

Below, we get the full story.

SV650 Custom:  In the Builder’s Words

Suzuki SV650 Tracker

Moto 11 is our first release for 2018. We wanted to do something modern but with a challenge that not a lot of other builders have laid hands on yet. There have been a few who have done the 2017 models but we were after a second generation SV with the rad trellis style fat frame. We found a good condition SV and quickly got to work. We wanted to transform this V-powered beast into a one of a kind urban assault machine. We wanted it aggressive and stealthy.

First thing we did was get rid of the stock forks and we upgraded the front end with a nice set of inverted forks and much better brakes. Not only did this improve the handling characteristics of the bike, but it improved the looks and the posture we were looking to achieve.

The rear subframe was removed and we handcrafted a new style subframe. We wanted the subframe to flow with the geometry of the main frame. We gave it a sleek but very rigid design as it is all welded up as one piece that can easily be unbolted from the frame. This also opened up the rear end a bunch and helped us achieve the aggressive look we wanted.

We then moved onto the wheels, being that solids are perfect for an assault vehicle, we hand cut some from aluminum and fitted them to the wheels and then installed a new set of Metzler Karoo 3 tires that simply look kick ass. They are an amazing tire that rule on and off road.

The front was given our signature tracker plate, LED look and a low profile front fender. A weathered light cage was then added to aid in some protection against enemy fire and a general badass look.

The tank was also given our signature weathered look and we think it really complements the general aesthetics of this bike. Along with the tank we gave the frame and swing arm a rugged weathered look all over.

The exhaust system was re-worked and heat wrapped. We then added some burly aluminum guards to give it that “assault” style look and help out when your flying across open terrain.

New 1 1/8″ handle bars, Biltwell grips and a Trail tech speedo help set off this build and it’s riding position. The radiator was also swapped out with an upgraded, larger aluminum one that we then made a custom guard for.

This isn’t your everyday SV. This bike is ready to take you anywhere, even when the end of the world is about to hit. Don’t take any chances by not having an assault vehicle ready for your disposal. This one is for sale and ready to ride!

Would you ever consider duplicating that rear sub frame and selling it. Or maybe go into more detail about how you made it. This looks amazing.
