French workshop BAAK Motocyclettes comes to America…
One of our favorite European builders is BAAK Motocyclettes, a French workshop based out of Lyon that founder Rémi Reguin started in his grandmother’s garage in 2013. Since then, the team has grown to 22 mechanical engineers, designers, and craftsmen who specialize in leatherwork, metal-shaping, plug-n-play parts, and commissioned builds. To date, they’ve turned out more than 150 custom bikes and thousands of parts designed and manufactured in-house.
Today, BAAK customizes and redesigns new Triumph, BMW, Moto Guzzi, and Royal Enfield models in a “classic timeless look” to suit to the inspirations and riding styles of customers. We’ve featured several of their builds in the past, most recently a trials-inspired Royal Enfield Classic 500 and a custom Triumph Scrambler 900. A main part of the workshop’s business is now plug-n-play parts, including seats, saddlebags, mudguards, exhausts, headlights, handlebars, and more:
“The design, prototyping, and manufacturing is completed in-house in our Lyon (France) HQ. We stay true to a careful process, from the first paper sketches created in our design studio, the 3D printing and prototyping, the materials selection, the assembly, the road tests… Everything is done in order to make our customers’ dreams come true…”
In 2019, BAAK moved into a new 27,000 sq-ft workshop in the IXth district of Lyon and dove into the automotive side of the customs scene, redesigning cars such as Austin Mini, Land Rover Defender, classic Porsches and Alfa Romeos:
“From simple projects to complete tailor-made creations, retrofit and e-powered vehicle projects, our team can bring to life any vehicle that meets the client’s dreams.”
Now we’re thrilled to announce that BAAK has come to the USA, opening a showroom, lounge, and small-scale factory in Los Angeles! The BAAK USA team opened the workshop late in 2020 and, despite shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they already have ten motorcycle orders underway. After years of requests from American clients, founder Rémi Reguin and his team of craftsmen delivered their first tailor-made motorcycle to a US rider in Las Vegas, Nevada:
“For us French people, the USA stands for freedom, great spaces, and a reservoir of creative energy for motorcycles enthusiasts, it clearly reaffirmed our will for opening a venue closer to our American friends.” –Rémi Reguin, BAAK’s founder
BAAK USA manager Laura Favier, an early BAAK enthusiast and long-time friend of Rémi, is a “key factor of this success.” As of now, visits to the 7200 sq-ft showroom are by appointment only.
BAAK USA Builds
So far, the California workshop has built two bikes for US customers, a Triumph T120 Bobber and a T100 Tracker, and the showroom has several BAAK builds on display. Here’s a taste of what’s to come from the California workshop.
We’re thrilled to have BAAK on US shores, and look forward to seeing more of their builds on American roads. Of course, we’ll be bringing you features of some of the most special customs to come out of the new workshop!

BAAK USA is a complete mess of a company. Charging for parts that were never put on the bike, delaying work for months and month, charging for fake hours. Just a bad bad bad company. Very untrustworthy, sneaky, ghosting, etc. RUN
