From FCR Original: Triple-Cylinder Triumph Café Racer…
Introduced in 2020, the Triumph Trident 660 is a middleweight naked bike / roadster with an 80-bhp triple born from the Daytona 675 supersport engine. The engine is shorter stroke than the Daytona’s, with more than 67 new components, and the bike features an all-new perimeter steel frame.
Despite these developments, the Trident 660 has been called a “time machine” capable of transporting the rider back to simpler days when fun took the fore over outright power and technological complexity.
“The Trident sounds, feels and rides like the original 675cc Triumph Street Triple. That bike’s DNA is obvious. The first Street Trip’ was a gloriously usable, affordable and none-too-serious bike with fun at the head of its design brief. And on the A and B-roads of the UK’s toughest road test…this exactly describes the new Trident.” –MCN

“That ‘well-behaved’ nature stirred a restlessness in us. Because beyond its technical harmony, we saw a base full of promise. A solid foundation, yes — but one waiting to be pushed, sharpened, intensified… That’s the Trident RS: a mid-size roadster with the soul of a sprinter, an urban machine that doesn’t flinch when unleashed on the track.”

They were going for what a modern café racer could and should be, and set out to build a bike that wouldn’t just look good on the street, but perform well at the track as well. In fact, they’ve developed a whole Trident RS Kit to transform the bike from middleweight roadster into café racer, in a variety of different colorways.
Highlights include adjustable clip-on bars, Brembo levers, solo tail section with custom-sculpted seat, short windcreen, K&N air intake with back ceramic exhaust system, engine and radiator guards, custom lighting and fenders, and Michelin Power 6 rubber.
“It’s not a café poser… On the road, it’s sharp, quick, and composed. On the track, it becomes something else: fluid, focused, assertive. Its riding position draws the rider forward, engaged. Its exhaust speaks with a deep, raw tone. This is a Café Racer built for today and built to move.”

In the Builder’s Words…
When the Triumph Trident 660 was first released, it was praised for exactly what it is: a well-balanced, well-built, approachable motorcycle — perfectly suited to a new generation of riders. But at FCR Original, that “well-behaved” nature stirred a restlessness in us. Because beyond its technical harmony, we saw a base full of promise. A solid foundation, yes — but one waiting to be pushed, sharpened, intensified. We imagined it living another life — one of more expression, more attitude, more soul. That’s how the Trident RS was born.
We didn’t just want to personalize the Trident, we wanted to give it a soul, to inject it with the kind of visual tension and purpose seen in today’s modern Café Racers. A more compact line. A lower stance. A bolder presence. Something that speaks directly to riders who feel rather than calculate. But without slipping into cliché. Not a museum piece; a real machine. A bike to ride, to live with, to feel. That’s the Trident RS: a mid-size roadster with the soul of a sprinter, an urban machine that doesn’t flinch when unleashed on the track.
Because every rider is unique, we wanted to take the concept even further. Our in-house design team developed several graphic and color variations, inspired by Triumph’s original Trident 660 color palette. The idea? To allow each client to choose the version that best reflects their personality ranging from discreet and refined to bold and expressive.
These options are available as 2D design proposals, giving a glimpse of the Trident RS in multiple visual identities, without ever compromising its core lines or DNA. A process true to FCR’s spirit: offering a complete, balanced design while opening the door to tasteful customization.
We rethought the motorcycle line by line, stance by stance:
• Custom single-seat tail section for a leaner silhouette
• Adjustable clip-on handlebars, lowering the rider’s stance
• Short smoked windscreen, giving space and breath to the front
• Redesigned radiator scoops, minimal license plate support, FCR-stamped
radiator guard
• Black ceramic exhaust, visually clean and sonically aggressive
• Tailored leather seat, taut and sleek to match the bike’s geometry
The result is immediate: sharper, more compact, and more purposeful. Even at a standstill, it feels poised to launch. In motion, it’s precise and confident — without losing the Trident’s original agility.

Built to Go — And Go Fast
From the start, we knew this Trident RS wasn’t built for studio lights. It needed track time. It needed to scream through revs, dive into apexes, come alive. Because this motorcycle demands to be ridden. It’s not a café poser. It’s a machine that asks for more — whether in the city or on the circuit. On the road, it’s sharp, quick, and composed.
On the track, it becomes something else: fluid, focused, assertive. Its riding position draws the rider forward, engaged. Its exhaust speaks with a deep, raw tone. This is a Café Racer built for today and built to move.
Two Riders. One Vision.
Fiona: In the bold orange version of the Trident RS, Fiona brings her own rhythm to the ride. From downtown streets to track curves, she transitions with grace and intensity. And most importantly, she proves one thing: performance knows no gender. Through Fiona, the bike becomes an instrument of freedom — refined, confident, and unapologetically fast. A woman, a machine, a shared path.
Foucauld: Urban refinement, mechanical presence. In a three-piece suit, Foucauld redefines the modern rider. He brings structure, style, and intention to every detail. The Trident RS becomes a new kind of statement — elegance on two wheels, as carefully chosen as a watch or tailored coat.
The Trident RS is not a retro tribute. It’s a bold, thoughtful reimagining of what a Café Racer should be in 2025 — stylish, efficient, and built to ride. It’s a motorcycle designed for intense moments — city to circuit, chrome to asphalt, silence to revs. Built for riders who want a machine that’s expressive, refined, and unafraid of standing out.
