BMW motorcycles may not seem like the most ideal platform for flat track-inspired builds, but BMW street trackers have been quite popular — particularly the air-cooled boxer twins of the 70s and 80s. The airheads certainly have the durability to handle the dirt track — after all, BMW basically invented the entire adventuring touring machine with the R80GS. That said, we’re seeing BMW trackers built from oilheads, Flying Bricks, enduros, and the rest of the BMW motorcycle lineup.
Below, a selection of our favorite BMW trackers. Go here for BMW scramblers.
