The Triumph Thruxton 1200 RS is a modern café racer with the performance, character, and riding experience to tempt sport riders from their repli-racers. The 1200cc HP (High Power) parallel-twin makes 104 horsepower and 83 pound-feet of torque, which offers plenty of punch and rumble, and the RS rides on 43mm Showa forks with four-piston Brembo M50 monobloc calipers and a set of twin Öhlins rear shocks — trick!
Overall, the Thruxton RS is a café racer for the 2020s and beyond, a machine that manages to combine the best of classic styling, modern performance, and everyday convenience.
“It doesn’t squash wrists or knees and the seat is comfy enough for extended saddle time (around three or four hours) before you need to shuffle, but it’ll also scratch your speed itch. The Thruxton is still a performance bike, albeit one with turn-ups and a beard.” –Motor Cycle News
The RS you see here comes from the neo-retro experts at FCR Original, known for upgrading modern classics with an arsenal of parts developed in-house at their extensive workshop in France. This is their Thruxton RS “Roadster Classic,” part of a range of machines they’ve reimagined among slightly more classic lines, working to upgrade the style, performance, and comfort in harmony.
“Our approach has always focused on the perfect blend of style and ergonomics. That’s why, like all our Classic Roadsters, this bike is equipped with our high triple clamp kit, a key accessory that transforms the riding position. The traditional clip-on handlebars have been replaced with a higher, straight handlebar, offering a more upright and comfortable riding posture.”
The bike stands out with its ivory and blue bodywork, enhanced by a hand-applied gold leaf pinstripe, accentuating each curve. The combination of classic colors and luxurious details gives the bike a distinct look and character while preserving the timeless spirit of the Thruxton.
The bike is now rolling on black 17-inch spoke wheels, and many of the bike’s components were blacked-out: fork tubes, triples, swingarm, and more. FCR Original parts include the chain guard, radiator grille, and a made-to-measure saddle.
Performance wasn’t overlooked either. The FCR Original team integrated a custom exhaust system specifically designed for this build.
“In addition to optimizing engine performance, this exhaust gives the bike a deep and unique sound, highlighting the racing spirit of this reimagined Thruxton while adhering to environmental standards.”
They also wrapped the new rims in Michelin Power 5 tires, their go-to rubber for custom builds:
“These tires, designed for sporty road use, offer exceptional grip and optimal performance in all conditions, ensuring a safe ride whether in the city or on winding mountain roads.”
This new build stays true to the Triumph heritage and character while turning the RS into a distinctive machine that’s sure to appeal to classic motorcycle enthusiasts and modern roadster lovers alike.

In may ways this could be the bike of my dreams. Organic looking curves and shapes rather than that dumb folded paper look so popular these days. Plenty of power and brakes. The colors could not be better (maybe equaled but not bettered.)
I like it!
Blue side covers would be an enhancement!
