FCR Original: Triumph 900 “Bespoke #1” Roadster

Triumph Speed Twin 900The Triumph Speed Twin 900 and T100 Bonneville share the same 900cc engine, which may look like an old air-cooled twin but actually features fuel injection, liquid cooling, and other modern conveniences. It’s a handsome engine, and lively, which makes these retro roadsters a lot of fun on the road.

The old 900cc machine was a little gutless, and could never have been described as exciting. However, that has been rectified thanks to an 18% increase in power — up from 54bhp to 64bhp. The upgraded engine revs quicker and to 500rpm higher, due to lighter internals…” –MCN

Triumph Speed Twin 900This particular build, based on a 2022 Speed Twin 900, comes from our friends at FCR Original, who’ve grown from a country barn, to the dragway podium, to an internationally known workshop in the French town of Chauvigny.

Triumph Speed Twin 900The shop often collaborates with major manufacturers like BMW and Triumph, offering a wide range of custom parts designed and produced in-house. They also continue to build and showcase full-blown custom builds like the Triumph “Bespoke #1” you see here.

“Built as a singular example, it represents a fully bespoke approach to motorcycle design, where no compromises were made and no duplicates will ever exist. From initial concept to final assembly, this motorcycle reflects a clear vision: to create a timeless machine that is both visually coherent and authentically personal.”

Below, the FCR team gives us the full rundown on this newly released machine.

In the Builder’s Words…

Triumph Speed Twin 900It all began in a countryside barn, with a dirt floor and walls steeped in passion. Two friends, driven by the same mechanical fire, spent their evenings dismantling, welding and reshaping. Their first bold move was transforming a Triumph 1050 Street Triple into a rolling work of art. That daring bet became a revelation and led to their first sale.

A few years later, a new challenge propelled the team into the world of drag racing. Sébastien Guillemot, founder of the brand, became French Champion after months of experimentation and refinement. The FCR Original spirit was born from relentless dedication, attention to detail, performance and elegance.

Over time, the workshop moved to Chauvigny, bringing together all the necessary expertise in-house including welding, painting, design and logistics, and specializing in its preferred brands, BMW and Triumph. Its signature is a distinctive neo retro style, pure and timeless, where each motorcycle becomes a true piece of mechanical art.

In 2022, the brand reached a new milestone with the launch of FCR Accessoires, allowing enthusiasts around the world to embrace the FCR Original style. Today, yesterday’s barn has become an internationally recognized house of craftsmanship, where a passion for metal is transformed into pure emotion.

Our mission is simple: to create unique motorcycles built around the people who ride them. From the very first sketch to the final rivet, every FCR Original project is a meeting point between passion, precision and aexcellence. In doing so, we bring together several essential dimensions.

Triumph Speed Twin 900

This Triumph 900 cc Bespoke is a true one-of-one creation, conceived, designed, and handcrafted entirely within the FCR Original workshop. Built as a singular example, it represents a fully bespoke approach to motorcycle design, where no compromises were made and no duplicates will ever exist. From initial concept to final assembly, this motorcycle reflects a clear vision: to create a timeless machine that is both visually coherent and authentically personal.

Triumph Speed Twin 900

With this Bespoke, FCR Original presents an elegant and refined interpretation of contemporary neo retro design. The objective was not to radically transform the motorcycle, but to enhance its lines, refine its proportions and elevate every detail to the level of an exceptional piece. The work focused on visual purity, material balance and the coherence of finishes. Chrome, mirror polish, satin khaki and deep black interact to create a stately, sophisticated and timeless silhouette. Every modification was conceived to strengthen the identity of the machine while preserving its natural elegance.

Triumph Speed Twin 900

The FCR Original team completely reworked this Bespoke with a focus on overall harmony. The approach is based on a balance between artisanal craftsmanship, high end finishes, and technical precision, resulting in a motorcycle that is cohesive, fluid and visually striking.

Triumph Speed Twin 900

Based on an A2-compliant Triumph 900 cc platform, the motorcycle has undergone an in-depth transformation guided by a precise set of specifications. Every aesthetic choice serves real-world usability. The fully nickel-plated frame gives the bike a distinctive, enduring character, while the bespoke seat—developed exclusively for this build—features a unique pattern and carefully engineered comfort. Cleaned-up controls and engraved engine covers further emphasize the artisanal nature of the project, maintaining an elegant and restrained visual language throughout.

Triumph Speed Twin 900

Equipped exclusively with components from the FCR Original range, this motorcycle is designed not only as a collectible piece but as a machine meant to be experienced on the road. The wide handlebar delivers a natural, engaging riding position, while spoked wheels and a custom suspension setup—tuned specifically for its future rider—offer a refined balance of comfort, control, and feedback.
